“I trained under
Dave for the 3 years when I played for the Banff Hockey Academy and
I still use his training programs and ideas in my training today.
My development as a hockey player to the level I am was not possible
without Dave’s support.”

Takuya Mihara

"I began training
with David over 3 years ago. My goal at that time was to lose
weight and simply get into shape. David helped me reach my goal
weight and has helped me redefine my weight training goals. While I
continue to think that I am just "getting into shape", David has
helped me with core strength, firmed my arms, toned and firmed my
thighs and greatly improved my overall conditioning. David has
helped me reach beyond my initial goals and expectations. He is the
best!"

Methodology
|
The
methodology that a trainer or facility uses is the most
critical aspect of all training. Every client from
a regular person to an elite athlete needs a specific
protocol of exercises, periodized training progressions,
nutritional and fitness analysis, along with regular
motivation to see the results they are looking for.
At
Revolution Athletics we use a simple but effective
methodology that produces incomparable results.
Our 4 pronged approach for every client includes:
Evaluation
Without a thorough and
scientifically valid evaluation it is very difficult to
determine future progress and meet the needs of the
person/athlete. We use a wide variety of
scientifically valid evaluation methods such as a
functional movement screening, body composition
measurements, and dryland physical testing that serves
to create a "client blueprint" from which we determine
the right course of action for each individual person.

Periodized Training Progressions
Periodization is an
organized approach to training that involves progressive
cycling of various aspects of a training program during
a specific period of time. Every major sports team
(college and professional) uses a variation of
periodization to achieve maximum results.
At
Revolution Athletics we use a form of periodization
called the Russian Conjugate Method which attempts to
not only develop strength and power throughout the year,
but works to solve weak points and essentially re-build
people/athletes for whatever challenges they may face.

Re-evaluation & Adjustment
Training is an important
component of your success but if you do not re-evaluate,
learn from your success and failures, and then move
forward a training program will always fail to produce
results. As every client is unique it is out job
to find out what works for you, and develop that along
with your weak areas to create a healthy, strong, and
properly functioning athlete/person.
Motivation
Everyone who comes to
train at Revolution Athletics will know right away that
you will never lack motivation at our facility. We
want the best results for you and will never back away
from telling you the truth and motivating you to work
hard to achieve your personal best results.

"David's training
methods and programs help athlete's functional strength and body
balance, but more than that he manages to get the best from his
athletes, which translates into better conditioning and sport
performance."

“I
have been training with Dave for more than three years. At 55 years
old, I am stronger and in better shape than I was at 35. I don’t
feel this would have happened with a regular “trainer”. Dave is not
“regular” in any way because he gets results.”
